(Before It's News)

Although Suntactics provides the most efficient solar chargers on the market, there are several ways to reduce the time it takes to charge your devices. If your iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy or Android devices are solar charging slowly, here are a few tips on how to get the most efficient charge for your devices.

Use a ChargeSync Cable

We recommend the Belkin Lightning USB ChargeSync Cable, it’s a 4 foot USB cable that charges iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and iPad mini at the fastest possible speed. It’s a great item to have combined with our Suntactics solar powered chargers if you want to charge as fast as possible.

Switch to Airplane Mode

It’s best to turn off Bluetooth / WiFi, even if the phone is not in use, your wireless internet connection is a furious battery drainer, make sure to switch to Airplane Mode before solar charging your device.

Shorten Screen Timeout

Under your phone’s display settings, find the option labeled “screen timeout”, this setting controls how long your phone’s screen stays on after recieving input, such as a tap on the screen. Every second counts, so set your timeout to the shortest available time.

Lower Brightness

Before plugging your phone or tablet into a solar charger, turn off the auto brightness and lower the brightness to the lowest percentage. This will ensure that you’ll get the shortest charge time

Switch Off

When the Suntactics sCharger is already in direct sun and connected with the USB cable, connect the other end of the cable to your battery device (ex: iPhone or iPad), then hold down the sleep/hold button in the top right corner until the slider appears at the top, asking “slide to power off”. Slide it. Turning off your device will allow your battery to fully charge without interruption.

Keep Cool

It’s hard to keep a device cool when charging in sunlight, that’s why it’s best to tuck the device in the shade or under a cool cloth when outside. Keep it cool, if the device is warm, the longer it will take to charge its battery. Be creative! Put a white cloth towel in the fridge and wrap your device in it and tuck it away under a table or in the shade away from direct sunlight, don’t use a dark towel as it absorbs more heat.

If you follow these directions in combination with Suntactics sChargers and ChargeSync Cable, you won’t have to worry about solar charging slowly, you will have a fully charged device in no time!
