While most the mobile phone users are opting for Android or iOS based devices, the Windows based phones also provides a quick, smooth and simple user interface. Microsoft, after taking up Nokia, is planning to reach out to as many consumers as possible. In order to achieve this company has launched new Windows mobile phones called Lumia 435 and Lumia 532. These handsets are the most affordable Windows phone from Microsoft.
Lumia phones have been the thing for Nokia and now Microsoft is carrying it forward. The new Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 are priced at a very affordable rate so that more people are able to experience the Windows Operating System without worrying about the build quality of the device or after sales service issues. The Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 comes at a price tag of Rs 5999/- and Rs 6499/- respectively. Even after being priced so low these devices are packed with some decent specs which would provide a smooth and lag free user experience.
Microsoft Lumia 435 and Microsoft Lumia 532 are almost similar in terms of specifications and design. Both the devices sport a 4.0 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The small display makes these devices very easy to use with one hand. The build quality of the devices is very rugged and they feel very robust in hand. Below the display there are the typical windows capacitive touch buttons (back, windows and search). On the right hand side of the devices there is a power on/off button and volume rockers. On the bottom we have the micro USB charging port and on the top of the devices we have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The back panel of the devices is of very good quality. There is a matte finish to it while the side panels are glossy. This is a new kind of design which we are seeing on the Lumia handsets.
The Lumia 435 is packed inside with a dual core Snapdragon 200 processor while the Lumia 532 comes with a quad core Snapdragon 200 processor. Apart from this the other difference between these two devices is the camera. The Lumia 435 has a 2MP main camera whereas in the Lumia 532 we get a 5MP main camera with an LED flash. Rest of the specs and features of the devices are same. Both of them are running on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim OS and Microsoft has assured that these devices will be getting all the latest updates. Under the back panel of both the devices we find a 1560 mAh battery which would be sufficient to provide uninterrupted supply. The front facing camera is a 0.3 MP VGA unit which allows you to do video calling through SkyPe. In terms of storage both the devices are available with 8 GB of internal memory, up to 30 GB free OneDrive space and they also support micro SD Cards up to 128 GB. So, storage wouldn’t be a problem.
Previously we have seen that in cheap or less expensive windows phone the amount of RAM was less. But Microsoft did not cut up on this with the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532. Both of them are featured with 1 GB of RAM which will help them to provide a smooth and lag free user experience. Other features of these phones include built-in Skype integration, you can access, edit and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and OneNote notebooks wherever you are, with the pre-installed Office suite and you can also connect with work and personal e-mail on the go with the built in Microsoft Outlook.
