OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, who thrilled the world smartphone market last year by launching the OnePlus One, is all set to launch the successor to the One. This new device has been searched on the Internet uncountable times and is likely to be named as OnePlus Two.
According to Liu Zuohu, CEO OnePlus, the Two could carry a price tag of 2499 Yuan ($200). This news comes from the official Weibo account of the CEO where the following was posted: “If OnePlus Two comes with Snapdragon 810, what do you think will be the price?”. As expected, he got various replies, and after sometime he posted that “2499 Yuan seems to be a reasonable price.”
OnePlus One already proved that in order to own a high end top spec smartphone you do not have to spend a lot. The One got famous overnight because it carried very high end specs similar to that of the flagship models of leading smartphone manufactures, and it was launched at a very affordable price tag. Even now the One is a good device to buy and gives tough competition to many of its rivals, most of them which belongs to the flagship category of other companies.
OnePlus Two is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and would have a much better display than its predecessor. We are eagerly waiting for the Two to be unveiled. Not to forget that the OnePlus is also working on another device in the OnePlus series which would be targeted for the masses and therefore it would be cheaper and affordable. While the OnePlus Two is expected to be unveiled by the third quarter of this year, the yet-to-be-unveiled cheap handset from the company would be launched by the end of 2015.
