Xiaomi Mi5 Surfaced in New Leaks

In last few weeks, the rumours about Xiaomi’s next flagship have spread like fire in a Jungle. Several speculations and leaks have confirmed a lot about company’s next big thing, but now, new images of the alleged smartphone have featured its design language and also highlighted Xiaomi’s patent application for a fingerprint scanner.
The images posted by a Weibo user were removed from the Chinese microblogging website, but luckily, GadgetzArena published those images before they were taken down. The design of Xiaomi Mi5 featured in the leak falls completely in line with the previous leak that showed up earlier this month. The image clearly highlights a white coloured bar shaped Mi phone with sharp edges and a home-button right at the bottom of its front-panel. Apart from this, nothing more comes out from the leaked render.
Along with this, another two images showed up on Weibo revealing a patent application for a fingerprint scanner filed by Xiaomi. Those images clearly highlight that Xiaomi will embed fingerprint scanner into the display of the smartphone. The images do not show any home button, which indicates that the company might keep this technology for upcoming Mi models.
Till date, a bunch of leaks have come up about Xiaomi Mi5. The metal-clad flagship is speculated to sport a 2.5D curved glass display and a 3D glass covering at the back. The device is rumoured to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD or Quad-HD display, powered by Snapdragon 820SoC and paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It will certainly incorporate impeccable photography capabilities with a 16-megapixel rear autofocus camera with OIS and a 13-megapixel front-facing snapper.
On the storage front, Xiaomi will probably unveil Mi5 with 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage, and pack enormous power with a 3600 mAh non-removable battery. The device will bring Quick charge 3.0 technology on-board, and will also run the all new MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As for pricing, there is no official word from Xiaomi, but rumours have been suggesting that the power-packed beauty from the company will fit in somewhere between CNY 1,999 and CNY 2,299, which approximately between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 24,000 in the Indian currency.
