Dara’a. The people are reporting more detention today. They are rounding young people indiscriminately from every home in the hope the parents will forbid their children to demonstrate. These young kids will certainly be tortured. We have not seen any videos of tortured Syrians for a while because they are not letting them go. The city remains under an inhuman siege.
Dara’a. al-Arabiya is reporting that soldiers from the 5th Army are battling those in the 4th army. Meanwhile, army units attending road barricades are being replaced by policemen because the Syrian army started to smell a rat. They were told they will be fighting armed bandits to protect their country and the army is discovering the ruse quickly.
Friday. A call for demonstrations across the country in support of Dara’a and Jableh. In anticipation, tanks have been observed entering the city of Aleppo to scare the people. It won’t work.
al-Hrak. Northeast of Dara’a. Unconfirmed reports that the town has been bombed by fighter jets.
Homs. Helicopters have been seen hovering on its outskirts. People are reporting heavy fire from tank mounted heavy machine guns.
Ba’ath Party disintegrating. 203 members have resigned. Unconfirmed reports of a leadership exodus as well.
