Global Warming Warning: Methane Burps To Start Within 25 Years
An international team of scientists, researchers and climatologists have just announced a dire prediction for our future when it comes to global warming. The team announced today that methane burps will start to slowly happen in the next 25 years in the Arctic regions of the Earth. What is extremely worrisome about this scenario is that once this process starts, there is no stopping it. Since methane gas is more than 20 times the strength of carbon dioxide when it comes to greenhouse gases, temperatures would start to soar. And once temperatures start to soar, more of the methane will be released thereby further increasing world temperatures.
The team’s research and models predict that by the end of the next 25 years, small quantities of methane will start to leak out of the Arctic region. Most of the methane is stored is what are called clathrates which are ice like structures that are found in mud and at the bottom of the Northern Seas. Estimates are that there is more than 3000 times the amount of methane stored in these deposits than what is currently in the Earth’s atmosphere. There are also thousands of tons of methane locked in the Arctic tundra which the team feels will start the process first. Each year more and more of the Arctic tundra is becoming less and less frozen and over the next twenty years, small methane pockets will definitely start to leak out of this vast area. Once enough of these small pockets start to get into the atmosphere, global temperatures will start to climb which will eventually lead to the melting of the clathrates.

Yes, and ty for posting it. But welcome to mother Earth, she can be bit bitchy during her 13,000 year cycle. Best to love her and let her cool down on her own.
Dont get me wrong, pollution is bad, but CO2 is not a “BAD THING” as Mother Earth needs it more then she needs us! Plants prefer CO2 between 800 and 1200 ppm. Life on Earth will NOT survive without CO2! We are around 380 ppm presently, Earth will be fine… just let her do her thing.
