Russian Navy Commander Adm. Vladimir Vysotsky was reported to have briefed personnel in a June 2012 meeting that Russian Nuclear Submarines will resume patrols in international waters, and so they did in a recent pass off the East coast.
According to officials, a Russian Nuclear Attack Sub recently was detected 200 miles off of the Eastern seaboard of the United States in what some would call a blatant display of power.
“The submarine was identified by its NATO designation as a Russian Seirra-2 class submarine believed to be based with Russia’s Northern Fleet.
