(Before It's News)

The U.S. Department of Defense has increased the number of labs that mistakenly received live anthrax samples from an Army testing facility in Utah.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The reason why the field of Conspiracy Theory exists is because world governments are constantly doing inexplicable nonsense like this. We are somehow expected to believe that the US Department of Defense “accidentally” sent live anthrax samples to labs in all 50 states PLUS an additional 7 foreign countries? The difference between Conspiracy Theory and Conspiracy Fact is about 3 years. Be ready for the next step, “accidental” mass exposure on civilian populations in all major American cities.

Eighty-six primary labs and 106 secondary labs received the contaminated shipment and 21 personnel, six of whom worked for the department, have been affected, the agency reported on a website tracking the incident.

The 106 secondary labs, which received the materials from the primary labs, were added to the website Monday night, Buzzfeed reports. A message to the department’s press office was not returned Tuesday.

The affected labs, which include commercial companies, academic institutions and federal facilities, are located in all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It also reached seven foreign countries: Japan, United Kingdom, Korea, Australia, Canada, Italy and Germany, the department reports.

On June 4, the number of affected labs was 51 in 17 states, plus the District of Columbia, Australia, Canada and South Korea. But authorities feared the number would rise.

The U.S. House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the incident Tuesday.

Officials continue to investigate how the contaminated product was shipped, but believe members of the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah may have shipped the samples without first using radiation to kill the bacteria.

The samples were being used for training exercises and were supposed to be dead when shipped. source
