Meet Sherri Goodman, The Woman Who Turned Climate Change Into A ‘Threat Multiplier’

The Global Warming scam got off to a great start on it’s way to making Al Gore a billionaire, then disaster struck. It started getting colder, not hotter, and the liberal “think tanks” had to go back to the drawing board. P.T. Barnum has declared that there is a “sucker born every minute”, and Global Warming was highly effective in proving that maxim to be true.
Leaving the failed Global Warming label behind them, the liberals waved their magic hat, reached in deep, and pulled out the new term, Climate Change. Now there was a title you could rally behind. Colder, hotter, it now made no difference as the focus was no longer on the actual temperature but on the word ‘change’. Which, in an amazing coincidence, was the key tagline in Obama’s campaign promise to “transform America”. Now when the weather patterns inconveniently refused to line up behind their agenda du jour, no problem, the focus was no longer on the weather but on the fact that it was changing. Bingo! Anyone who is able to look out a window at any moment of any day will tell you that the weather changes. But with a shaky premise and dubious moniker like Climate Change, they still needed the “knockout punch” to really sell it to a rightly-skeptical America public. Enter Sherri Goodman.
National Security and the Threat of Climate Change
Under the auspices of her employer, the CNA Corp., a nonprofit that consults on U.S. military operations, Goodman assembled a new Military Advisory Board. It was about a dozen men — decorated generals and admirals she had known from her own days working at the Pentagon — charged with figuring out what global warming would mean to the military in the 21st century.
Over the course of a year, the new board held dozens of meetings with scientists and soldiers, spies and skeptics. At first, there was a lot of doubt among the board members. Most had never thought much about climate change, and some were dubious that human industrial activity was driving up global temperatures.
But instead of arguing over who was to blame, these military leaders thought about climate change as if it were a nuclear weapon, or a political crisis, or any other national security risk. So when putting together their first big report for Congress, they focused on this idea of national defense. And that’s how Goodman coined a wonky, military-sounding term that would turn out to play a pivotal role in reshaping the national debate on climate change.
Climate change, she said, whether rising seas inundating deltas in Bangladesh or stronger hurricanes damaging ships at sea, was a “threat multiplier” — something that makes the powder keg bigger when conflict sparks.
“I just put out there one day, ‘How about we talk about it this way,’ and it stuck,” Goodman said from her office in Washington, D.C.
The phrase had a familiar appeal to military men, playing off the Pentagon’s favorite “force multiplier” cliché from the 1990s, which was applied to everything from laser-guided bombs to global positioning satellites. “Threat multiplier” made it into the board’s first report to Congress, released in 2007, along with a sharp and striking message: “Global climate change is and will be a significant threat to our national security.”
Obama calls climate change, not ISIS, our greatest threat
Today, Goodman’s term is as popular as ever, thrown around frequently by President Barack Obama, the CIA, the Department of Defense, the State Department, and international organizations such as the G7. Just last month, Vice President Joe Biden used it to explain why the U.S. needs to take a leading role in climate negotiations that start Monday in Paris. Last year, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel called climate change a threat multiplier for terrorism — exacerbating poverty, disease, migration, and conflict — leading to the Pentagon adding extreme weather to its war games from now on.
Global Warming becomes Climate Change which becomes ‘threat multiplier’
With the term ‘threat multiplier’ that Sherri Goodman brought to the table, the Obama administration had found the right way to sell this to the American public, the threat of war. Soon, every terrorist act and every warring tribe anywhere on the globe had their actions now linked to weather patterns. American soldiers killed in Afghanistan, no longer linked to failed engagement policies of the Obama administration, were not attributed to drought. Rise of Somali warlords could be blamed on flooding. The murderous Muslim terror group Boko Haram’s actions were now blamed on “crop failures due to floods” brought on by global warming. Sharia Law is not the problem, Islamic terrorists not the problem, no sir. Obama contends that these things would not be happening were it not for, you guessed it, Climate Change.
Now the Liberal rallying cry is “if you doubt Climate Change then you are the real terrorist”. “Can’t you see that the ever-changing weather patterns that have been changing since the dawn of time are a THREAT MULTIPLIER??”, they cry. Honestly, if this were the plot of some indie foreign movie it would be rejected out of hand as being too moronic and too outright stupid to be a valid plot device. Yet, sadly, it is the position and platform that the Obama administration is doubling and tripling down on in their bid to ram this down the throat of the low-information American public like they did with the Marxist Obamacare.
Now, it stands to reason that if Climate Change causes terrorism, which is the absolute premise of the Obama administration, then people who deny Climate Change would have to be classified as people who are “aiding and abetting the enemy”. Just as Obama made it a crime to not have healthcare, punishable by first a heavy tax and then by jail time, you can bet it will soon be a crime to be a dissenter. Indeed, at this moment in France right now, Climate Change deniers are sitting in a jail cell as the Climate Change conference gets ready to start later today.
Pay close attention to the Climate Talks all this week in Paris, read every document they approve, and in them you will find new laws and regulations which will make it a crime to not believe in man-caused Climate Change. Climate Change is the new religion, to be spread and administered at the point of a gun, backed up with a global tax from the United Nations. New World Order, the lunatics in charge of the insane asylum.
