I understand that men in different countries and cultures will wear rasta braids or what have you, I get that. But that’s not what this is. The new man braids trend here in the United States is nothing more than a blurring of the gender lines and the weakening of male masculinity. Call it the “fruit” of the work of the LGBT Movement, call it part of the end times falling away, call it whatever you like. Honestly, it’s sad and a sad indictment of the times we live in.
It started with the man bun, and after America got time to get comfortable with that idea, it was kicked up a notch with the man braid. Soon there will be a line of facial makeup and mascara for men, too. Oh wait, my bad, that’s already here as well. Huffington Post writes plenty of articles like “7 Tips To Wearing Makeup Every Man Who Wears Makeup Should Know” for the makeup-centric pseudo-male.
“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV)
Long hair is not effeminate of itself, Jesus had long hair and there was nothing queer about him. How you wear your hair, though, can be a different matter altogether.
Be a man, and leave the braids and buns where they belong, with the women.
