(Before It's News)

Pope Francis, who more than a billion Catholics believe is God’s representative on Earth, will meet with powerful Silicon Valley Google executive and philanthropist Eric Schmidt for 15 minutes at the Vatican in Rome.

“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.”  Revelation 19:9,10 (KJV)

Prophecy watchers are looking with great interest on the upcoming private meeting between the uber-powerful technology titan Eric Schmidt from Google, and the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Many pro-Vatican pundits have long acknowledged that Francis is not content to merely be the Pope, and wants to form strategic alliances to expand his borders. Revelation 17 and 18 says that the he has much bigger shoes to fill than the ones he is currently wearing.

A source close to the Vatican, who was familiar with the details of the meeting but not authorised to speak on the record, confirmed the brief meeting would take place on Friday. Another source familiar with the meeting said Schmidt was due to meet with the pope privately along with Jared Cohen, a former US state department official who is now head of Google Ideas. Schmidt co-wrote a book with Cohen in 2013 called The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business.

Google declined to respond to several requests for comment over the past 24 hours about the meeting. The planned encounter was first mooted in a barely noticed tweet two days ago by a man named Iacopo Scaramuzzi, who has been described on Twitter as a Vaticanista, or Vatican expert.

This meeting comes on the heels of the release of the Pope’s One World Religion video the other day. All regimes require money, power and influence, and Eric Schmidt possess all three of those things in abundance. As head of Google, his ability to sway and influence public opinion is nearly unlimited. Imagine how much ground could be covered via social media with a Google sponsored endorsement of the Vatican’s agenda. Having the Pope’s “blessing” would likewise also open up new doors of opportunity for Google with it’s military ambitions.

Google and the Vatican share one major, overarching ambition. They both desire to reshape the future.

Let the partnership begin…
