John and I disagree as to whether or not the United States will be the “allies” or the “axis.” Perhaps the victor will get to decide this difference of perception and opinion.
I posit the possibility that China could wait for the US to burn itself out. John feels that time is not on China’s side because they are facing a major internal rebellion.
I blindside John with an economic concept called “integration” (globalized integration and interdependencies) which may be unique to our time. Integrated Oil, and the Globalized Supply chain might make War a function of Depletion. The Geometric Ability to Kill Ourselves. Where is the manufacturing capacity and the ability to manufacture aircraft. How sustainable is our production capacity in the United States vs China. John feels the US is more advanced while I contend there is a limited depth of supply to support World War II.
