One of the common mistakes for those new to gold & silver is to only consider the performance of the metals in U.S. dollars. This probably occurs because the ‘headline’ price for silver and gold is usually expressed in greenbacks. For our American readers this is not generally a problem, although analysis against other major currencies such as Pound Sterling & Euro is always worthwhile and indicative of the broader global trend. However, for those domiciled in countries with more ‘minor’ currencies it is important to extrapolate the trend into the domestic medium of exchange. As a New Zealand based service we are pleased to provide the above chart which has been updated monthly since August 2008.
