The Pebble Project in Alaska has been mentioned many times in this blog and continues to undergo media scrutiny. This week they launched their Facebook page, Pebble Project Updates, in hopes of keeping the public informed about their permitting process and any progress with the project development.
Social media is venue that allows for us to share content with the world and our friends, but ultimately we can use social media to discuss important issues and initiate meaningful debate. We want to applaud the Pebble Project for reaching out to the public and aiming to keep them informed, and ultimately welcoming an open discussion about their potential mine.
