The Golden Hind is the second coin from the Ships That Changed The World series released by the Austrailian Perth Mint, this second release in this new series features the Golden Hind best known for its circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580 and captained by Sir Francis Drake. Each coin from this series is a full 1oz of .999 silver and in proof quality, the five coins released will be Santa Maria, Golden Hind, Mayflower, USS Constitution and the Cutty Sark. The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of these silver proof coins, the coin is housed in a presentation display case and superbly illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
