GRONINGEN (MINEWEB) – It takes guts to get into the mining equity sector right now, says Morgan Report author, David Morgan, when it has been such a poor performer but, he says, “the old adage ‘buy straw hats in the winter’ applies here because you’re buying when no one else wants them and you’re able to buy them cheap,” he says.

Speaking on Mineweb.com’s Metals Weekly podcast, Morgan reiterated his call that the bottom for these stocks came in May this year and, while there has been a “pretty nice rise” over the last few months, they have since fallen back a fair way.
