Perth Mint Year of the Monkey Gold Coin from 2004
You read it here first folks. Technically the Year of the Goat hasn't even started (February 19, 2015), but I have a scoop on the designs for next years 2016 Year of the Monkey Lunar Coin design from Perth Mint.

The Year of the Monkey doesn't start until February 8th, 2016, though Perth Mint will likely be releasing their coins in early September the year prior (i.e. this year) as we've become accustomed.
Here is a preview of what we can expect from the Year of the Monkey design (my emphasis to highlight design specifics):

2016 Year of the Monkey – Gold Bullion Coins

The design on the 2016 Year of the Monkey (1kg, 10oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz, 1/20oz) gold bullion coins, consists of a pattern of lines forming a circle immediately inside the rim, surrounding a representation of a monkey sitting on the branch of a tree, with the tree trunk to one side and leaves and a peach hanging above. The coin includes the following inscriptions ‘Year of the Monkey’, the Pinyin pictograph pronounced ‘hóu’ and meaning monkey and the initials of the designer Ing Ing Jong ‘IJ’.

2016 Year of the Monkey – Silver Bullion Coins

The design on the 2016 Year of the Monkey (10kg, 1kg, 10oz, 5oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz) silver bullion coins, consists of a pattern of lines forming a circle immediately inside the rim, surrounding a representation of an adult monkey and a young monkey holding a peach, sitting on a branch with leafy foliage and a peach to the side. The coin includes the following inscriptions ‘Year of the Monkey’, the Pinyin pictograph pronounce ‘hóu’ and meaning monkey and the initials of the designer Ing Ing Jong ‘IJ’.

The coin's designer Ing Ing Jong also design the Year of the Snake coins for Perth Mint as detailed in a blog post:
The designs of the latest Australian Lunar coins from The Perth Mint are the work of talented illustrator Ing Ing Jong.

Ing graduated from Perth’s Central TAFE School of Art and Design in 2006 with an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, having specialized in illustration and multimedia. She promptly enrolled for a Bachelor of Multimedia at Curtin University in order to undertake advanced studies in animation, web design, illustration and video editing.

She was also recently interviewed by The Coin Analyst (Louis Golino) on Coin week (read in full here):
Ing Ing Jong, a Perth Mint coin designer, recently discussed with me her experience as a coin designer and her work on the new American Bald Eagle high relief silver proof coin, a stunning piece that depicts the bird’s profile in exquisite detail.  The coin has a limited mintage of 5,000 units, most of which sold out quickly at various U.S. coin distributors over the past few weeks.  The coin was minted by Perth on behalf of the government of Tuvalu.

We can look forward to seeing a picture of the designs from Perth Mint in early September on release or just before. Stay tuned to this site for more information as it comes to hand.
For those interested in stocking up on bullion 2015 Year of the Goat coins, site sponsor Bullion Money has a selection available here, including the highly sought after 1oz Silver coin (which often achieves a premium in time).
