Does Money Come to Good People?

People Have Good Intentions When It Comes to Money

Years ago, my fabulous reason for having money was, “I should have lots of money because I will do good things with it. I will use it to help people.” Now, there is nothing wrong with that idea essentially, but what it meant was that with every bit of money that came into my life, I could not allow it to contribute to my own life. I wasn’t in the equation of people who I could help with it.

This basically meant that anytime I received any money, I had to get rid of it. I couldn’t have it in my life, or let it contribute to me directly, because I had to be helping other people all the time. The funny thing is, once I allowed myself to have money, to really have it in my life and let it contribute to my life, to enjoy it, and to enjoy being me, my ability to contribute to others increased – and continues to increase – exponentially.

Is There Such a Thing as Equal Opportunity Money?

Here is the thing: money does not have a point of view. It does not have a moral compass that says, “You have been good, so you can have more money,” or “You have been bad, so no money for you!” Money doesn’t judge. Money shows up to people who ask and are willing to receive it.

Look at the world; have you noticed that there are kind and unkind people with money, and kind and unkind people without money? You do not have to prove that you are good or bad, or that you deserve money. You must be willing to stop judging whether you deserve money and ask for it, just because you can. Just because it’s fun to have money!

How to Have Money Come to You

If you are ready to let go of your judgments about you, specifically about you with regards to money, and invite money into your life, here are three things you can do.

Ask Money to Show Up

What if you could ask for money, just because you know life might be more fun with it than without it? What if the purpose of your life is to have fun?

Maybe you’ve heard the saying, “Ask and you shall receive.” It’s true; money desires to contribute to you. Money desires to play with you. Most people don’t ask for money because they have so many beliefs about what it takes to have it, how hard you must work for it, where it can and cannot come from, who should have it, who shouldn’t and on and on it goes. These beliefs keep people from simply asking for money to show up.

What would you like your life to be like? How much money would it take to live the life you desire? Get clear on how much money it would take to live the way you want to every month and then ask, “What’s it going to take for this to show up?”

Live Your Life as a Celebration NOW

A lot of people think that when they have money, then they will be happy. The opposite is true. Money follows joy. Joy does not follow the money. Start to live your life as a joyful celebration today.

What do you love to do? What makes you happy? Do you like to run? Practice yoga? Cook? Travel? Go out with friends? Start to write a list of the things that you enjoy doing and then do them; one full hour every day and one full day a week.

When you choose to live your life as a celebration when you choose to do what bring you joy, you will start having more fun in life, and your money will increase. Money follows joy.

Ask Questions that Invite Money

Questions are the invitation to receive, which allows money to show up.

If you start a question with “Why” or “How ” most often you are not really asking a question. If you are looking for an answer (or you can already predict an answer to the question) – guess what? You are not actually asking a question!

Here are examples of questions that will invite money.

  • What could show up that would work out greater than I could imagine?
  • What’s right about me that I am not getting?
  • What can I be or do differently each day to become more aware of the choices, possibilities, and contributions that are available to me in every moment?

Receiving money, having money, increasing money has nothing to do with whether you have done things right or wrong, whether you are good enough or not good enough. Money does not discriminate. If you would like to change your financial situation, you can. Ask for money to show up. Live the celebration of life every day. Invite money in by asking questions. Money come, money come, money come.
