In the current health supplements have been sold freely in the market. Although it does not mean that health supplements can be consumed in vain. Same as medication health supplement when used not in accordance with existing recommendations will lead to potential side effects.

Health supplement is basically a supplement if the intake of nutrients in daily diet can’t be fulfilled. Many health experts have said that a healthy diet is better than taking health supplements. Health supplement was chosen as the practical way if they are not able to meet the nutritional daily food.

There are several types of health supplements have side effects, some of which are

Glucosamine
This health supplement is generally used in order to relieve inflammation of the joints. Glucosamine is not recommended for those who suffer from allergies seafood such as crabs and lobsters. Glucosamine side effects include discomfort in the abdomen, constipation, rash and headache. Glucosamine also inhibits the existing drainage on the body due to its water binding.
Glucosamine can interact with other drugs such as anti-clotting drug use and some types of anti-diabetic drugs. So that Glucosamine is not recommended if used in conjunction with some of the drug.

Seaweed (Kelp)
Supplement this one is often used for stimulating the thyroid gland because it is very much contained iodine. Iodine content can be used to balance the thyroid hormone.

Kelp has properties of thin the blood is therefore not recommended when used concurrently with aspirin or medicines that can lower blood pressure

Potassium
Potassium is used to help maintain bone health and certain other bodily functions and is also used as insulin resistance, arthritis, and some symptoms of menopause.

When potassium is used in doses that are too high, it will cause irregular heartbeat, stomach pain and muscular weakness. For patients with kidney disorders, dehydration and high blood pressure is not recommended to use potassium supplements.
