November 23, 2012 by Maureen McCarty, Online Content and Marketing Manager
December 1st marks the 25th anniversary of World AIDS Day, an opportunity for all to remember the global impact of HIV/AIDS, but also to unite in the continued fight against the crisis.
This year, screenings are happening across the country of the award-winning documentary, “How to Survive a Plague,” which chronicles the AIDS crisis in Greenwich Village from 1987 to 1996.
Additionally, on Monday, December 3, Google will host a massive global hangout from the New York studio with the film’s director, David France, and special guests from locations around the world for a discussion on AIDS today.
