Report Ranks U.S. Last Among Developed Countries for Maternal Health. Averaging all measures, the U.S. ranked as the 33rd best country for mothers out of 179 surveyed countries, down from 31st the previous year (2014). But on maternal health the U.S. ranked 61st.
