The Mainstream Media has repeatedly portrayed the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants massing at, or inside, the U.S./Mexican border as being primarily comprised of poverty-stricken children and mothers who originated from Central and South America. While that certainly lends a very sympathetic bent to the seeming crisis, it also demands an answer to a very basic question finally posed by a national figure during one of the weekend news programs – who is behind the coordinated effort to get all those people to the United States?
During a brief interview on an ABC Sunday morning news program, Governor Rick Perry asked the program’s host how it was possible for so many people to travel so far across numerous national borders in order to arrive at the U.S. border. The ABC host categorized the question as a “conspiracy”, thus demeaning the question and sending a signal to others that if they too ask the same question, they will be dismissed as “conspiracy theory” loons.
To Perry’s credit, he persisted in raising the possibility that to have so many people moved so far would require a coordinated effort by someone, or something, with the means to do so. To date, the Mainstream Media has refused to raise this same question, instead repeating the mantra of “immigration crisis” and “something must be done”, which of course, folds very neatly into the very same mantra of the Obama White House and Democratic Party, where America must now seemingly give up the idea of a structured, legal immigration policy, and instead merely open itself up to anyone at anytime to come in and make this country theirs – rule of law be damned.
