Indian Car Makers End the Year With Growth in Sales

January 2, 2011: Tata Motors Ltd. and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. ended the last year with the growth in sales of the vehicles for December. Even the sales of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp., doubled in December compared to the same period in 2010. This growth is the result of consistent insulation of the demand for diesel-powered vehicles despite the slowdown in the Indian automobile industry.
