Greek police ordered the closure of decided to close to public ten metro stations in downtown Athens during the march rally on November 17th 2012 for the 39th anniversary of the the Students’ Uprising.
Seven metro stations will be closed as of 12:00 noon:
Syntagma, Evangelismos, Panepistimio, Megaro Mousikis, Ambelokipoi, Akropolis, Monastiraki
Three metro stations will be closed as of 14:00 (2 p.m.):
Panormou, Katechaki, Ethnikis Amynas.
The wagons will pass through but no passenger will be able to get in or out. The stations will reopen once the march is over and security measures lifted. The march will start around 3 p.m. from Polytechnic University and end outside the American Embassy.
There will be also changes in the routes of buses and tram. Better avoid the downtown Athens tomorrow.
