Man in bank elevator crushed by coins – dead!

A unbelievable accident occurred in an Athens on Tuesday, when a money transport cart overturned inside an elevator and bags full of coins claimed a victim. A 47-year-old security guard. According to Greek media, the security guard was taking the transport cart full of coins in bags from the ground floor of Agricultural Bank headquarters to the basement.

While inside the moving elevator, the handle of the cart hit the edge of elevator door, the trolley overturned and emptied its contain over the man.

The accident was immediately noticed by his collegues who reportedly tried to stop the elevator. But in vain.

Fire brigades were called in to untrapped the man, but every aid came too late. The man had died on the spot.

He was employee at the private security company for money transfer.

Tragic! Like in a horror Hollywood film…
