What Failos Kranidiotis, an advisor to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, tweeted on Tuesday, could not be perceived even ’black humour’. One of his followers commented to an apparently older Kranidiotis tweet:
“Violence is when my old father goes to doctor and sees a sign “10 free visits are over”! If he dies, I will bring him to you!”
“With pleasure, but where shall we put him? Oh, I got an empty TV box (black&white). If you fold him before he freezes, he will fit in,” Kranitiodis answered.

Kranidiotis’ answer triggered an outrage among the Greek Twitter users with many commenting “Shame on you!”
However the author of the provocative answer – a former elections candidate with Nea Dimocratia and lawyer – refused to apologize claiming, it was a troll and that the man had no father…
The unbelievable statement forced Samaras party officials to condemn the unprecedented statement.
Government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou told VIMA fm, “definitely what I heard was appalling. If there is such an assumption, I am surprised. However, what I heard was an appalling statement. ”
A media advisor of Samaras, George Mouroutis, tweeted that Kranitiodis ought to apologize even if it was meant as a joke. “Unacceptable even as a joke.”
