Pussy Riot member detained by police at Sochi olympic gamesMembers of the Russian punk rock band Pussy Riot are released from police custody in the Winter Olympic host city Sochi after being detained at a hotel. Pussy Riot was trying to bring attention to Putin’s record of human rights violations and strong armed rule. You will hear in the video one of the members reminding the world not to forget that even though Putin is trying to clean his image with the Olympics, he is still who he is!!!

What was the charge? They claim the were just walking around, although the police claimed they were taken for “questioning” over a theft at the hotel they were staying at. Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova used Twitter to send pictures of their detention, claiming they were thrown into a police van.
