Greece’s Flu record: number of deaths increased to 70

Seventy people have lost their lives since the beginning of flu season,” Greek Center for Disease Control (KEELPNO) said Tuesday. The number of flu-infected patient currently in Intensive Care Units is 53, while a total of 208 people had to be hospitalized in ICU.
Τhe majority of patients were not vaccinated against the flu and were suffering from chronic health problems, experts say, adding that the flue season has overcome its peak and that it will last until the end of March.
winter 2013-2014 recorded more deaths due to flu strain H1N1 and more severe cases that needed hospitalization in ICU:
2013-2014: 70 deaths, 208 in ICU during the last two months.
2012-2013: 49 deaths, 108 in ICU.
2011-2012: 56 deaths, 121 in ICU.
