1888PressRelease – The Future of Search Technology in an Increasingly Transparent World.

The futuristic Jeffrey Cohen Optical predicts that search engines will be created to search the physical world; making it more transparent.

Search engines today are solely based on digital media. Things that are not digital and online are simply not findable. This affects out range of abilities since our thinking is often based on our ability to find things online. Next generation search tools are expected to be more sophisticated as experts come up with new technology.

Investment expert, Jeff Cohen, predicted the creation of search engines for the physical world saying the following during a recent investment forum in New York, “We should expect that search engines would be able to find virtually anything in both the physical and digital worlds in the future. We already have flying drones that can be used to replace web crawlers in mapping out the physical world for the search engines, not to mention the Google glass search idea that should make it easier to locate objects within the field of view.”

Google, one of the world’s leading search engines has already started making headway towards more sophisticated search. Amit Singal, Senior VP and Fellow, says that Google expects to make search more personal and interpretive by using artificial intelligence and natural language to give answers rather than links for search terms.

The Google Glass Search, one of the technologies expected to be the precursors of a more advanced search, will be designed to present visual overlays that make it easier to determine the location of an object that is within the field of view. Think of it as being able to find your lost keys in the house based on the Glass recordings in previous house scans.

“Just as no information can be available on search engines without web crawlers today, drones, the equivalent of web crawlers, can be used to spider physical surroundings. They should be able to gather data for search,” added Jeffrey Cohen during his talk.

This kind of technology will definitely make the society more transparent and this should be expected to bring along both negative and positive outcomes. Let us hope that we will be able to draw the line on policy matters when these concepts finally come to realization.
