The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) released the following statement regarding the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was killed in Benghazi on Tuesday:

“NIAC extends our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Christopher Stevens, U.S. Ambassador to Libya.  NIAC’s staff had the great pleasure of working with Ambassador Stevens during his tenure at the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and at the State Department.  He will be fondly remembered for the earnest dedication he brought to his work and his unbending willingness to engage.  We are grateful to have had the opportunity to know Ambassador Stevens and to work with him, and we are deeply saddened by his loss.”
