**Jamal
Abdi, NIAC’s Policy Director, an expert on foreign affairs, immigration and
defense, previously served as a Congressional advisor to Representative Brian
Baird (D-WA). He has written for The New York Times, CNN, Foreign Policy,
The Progressive and Public Service Europe, and blogs at The Huffington Post and
NIACInsight. Jamal is a frequent guest contributor in print, radio and
television, including appearances on Al Jazeera, RT America, National Public
Radio (NPR), BBC Radio, and Voice of America (VOA).
