(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. September 4, 2015, 10:39 PM (IDT)

Four American and two international peacekeepers from Fiji were wounded in two bomb blasts in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula Thursday night, US defense officials said. All six belonged to the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), serving in Sinai after Israel and Egypt concluded a peace treaty in 1979. The two international troops hit an improvised explosive device with their vehicle, and then the four Americans were hit with a second explosion on another vehicle while attempting to respond and provide help, said Maj. Roger M. Cabiness II, a military spokesman at the Pentagon. The multinational force evacuated the soldiers by air with non-life-threatening injuries to Israeli hospitals.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
