DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. January 3, 2016, 8:41 PM (IDT)

ISIS released its latest video message on Sunday showing the killing of five people it claimed were British spies. In the video, an ISIS fighter, speaking English with a London accent, derided British Prime Minister David Cameron over Britain's involvement in the war against ISIS.
“How strange it is that a leader of a small island threatens us with a handful of planes,” the masked fighter said, adding that “only an imbecile would dare to wage war” on ISIS or “would dare to anger a people who love death the way you love your life.”
He then told the British people that “we will continue to wage jihad, break borders and one day invade your land, when you will be ruled by Sharia.” After the fighter finished addressing the camera, the five kneeling prisoners were shot in the head, one by one.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
