US Republican frontrunner Donald Trump continued his march toward the party’s nomination for president by winning primaries in five northeastern US states on Tuesday. With the majority of the votes counted, Trump was the victor in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware over rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich. He took more than 55 percent of the vote in all five states, including nearly 64 percent in Rhode Island.
Meanwhile, Democrat Hillary Clinton remained on track to become her party’s nominee with wins in Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania, although Bernie Sanders was victorious in Rhode Island.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
