The US will significantly increase its military presence in Syria by sending 250 soldiers specializing in counterterror operations to organize, train and fight alongside rebel organizations against Islamic State and its allies, American President Barack Obama will announce Monday. He will make the statement during a visit to the German city of Hanover for a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
