DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. November 17, 2016, 8:26 AM (IDT)

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced Wednesday that the country's new ambassador to Israel will be Kemal Okem, a senior diplomat who previously served as advisor to Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and his predecessor Ahmet Davutoglu. The announcement came two days after the Israeli Foreign Ministry named Eytan Naeh as ambassador to Ankara.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
