(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. March 23, 2017, 9:07 AM (IDT)

An officer serving in the IDF's Civil Administration was sentenced on Wednesday to 11 years in prison for serious crimes including sexual offenses, accepting bribes and deviating from his authority in a manner that endangered national security. The military court in Jaffa also stripped him of his ranks and expelled him from the IDF. A court order has barred publication of the man's identity and the details of his crimes.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
