Palestinian suspected of plotting abduction for Hizballah arrested

It was revealed on Thursday that Israeli security forces recently thwarted a Hizballah plot to abduct an Israeli citizen. An indictment filed during the day said that a 23-year-old Palestinian resident of Qalqilya, who joined the terrorist organization via its Facebook page for new recruits, was arrested after he was instructed via encrypted communications to establish a terror cell for the purpose of abducting an Israeli citizen and secretly transferring him to Lebanon. The Palestinian was also instructed to photograph and collect information on sites in the Old City of Jerusalem as well as IDF bases, the indictment said.
