DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. March 11, 2017, 10:05 AM (IDT)
Kremlin sources, reporting on Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan’s talks in Moscow Friday with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, said: “The Russian-Turkish talks resulted in almost nothing.” They disclosed that the Turkish leader’s main concern was the Manbij standoff in northern Syria, where the US, Russia and Kurdish-led SDF armies form a wall against Turkish troops. The failure of the talks was confirmed when, after he flew out of Moscow, Russia’s agricultural import authority Rosselkhoznadzor announced there were no plans to lift the restrictions on Turkish farming produce in the near future. These restrictions have closed what was once the largest export market for Turkish farm products.
Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
