Russia: US strike violates international war

“President Putin regards the US missile strikes on a military airfield in Syria as aggression against a sovereign state in violation of the norms of international law – and under a trumped-up pretext that,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday. Putin also sees the US strikes as an attempt to distract from the mounting civilian casualties in Iraq, the Kremlin spokesman added. Moscow continues to deny that Syria even posssesses chemical weapons for an attack.
Iran also condemned the U.S. missile strike on Syria, saying the “unilateral action is dangerous, destructive and violates the principles of international law.”
