(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. April 5, 2017, 9:03 PM (IDT)

During a press conference at the White House on Wednesday with Jordanian King Abdullah, US President Donald Trump condemned the previous day's chemical attack in Syria, saying ”These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated”. He said the atrocity “crossed a lot of lines for me”. He also described it as further proof that the international community has failed to deal with the ongoing bloodshed. He declined to specify which measures his administration will take in response to the attack, only saying “You'll see”.
In his other remarks, Trump thanked the visiting monarch for his cooperation with the US in the war against ISIS and said Abdullah is making great efforts to achieve peace between Israel and its neighbors. On his part, the king stated that Arab countries are ready to make efforts to advance the Middle East peace process.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
