On 11/27/2014, coolant system of Reactor 2 pool suddenly stopped, according to Tepco.
Approx. 5 hours later, Tepco managed to reboot the system. Pool water temperature was 16.7 ℃ when it was stopped. Tepco reported it was 17.3 ℃ when the system was rebooted.
Reactor 2 pool stocked 587 spent fuel assemblies and 28 new fuel assemblies.
Tepco announced it was because one of the related systems called air compressor was turned off for unknown reason. Currently they are investigating the cause why it was turned off and by whom.
