(Before It's News)
We decided to start a YAL chapter at LCC this year, after the majority of our Students for Liberty club graduated in June. We've tabled on campus quite a bit, with some help from Oregon State Chair Brandon Clements who is right up the road at University of Oregon, and we also got some help from the Leadership Institute.

We got over 100 signups this year, with the First and Second Amendments being the most popular topics. We conducted a photo poll, and asked students and others on campus to choose their favorite amendment and pose with it for a photo. This was a really great way to engage with our fellow students, and to start conversations about our constitutional freedoms.
It took some work, but we're really starting to build some momentum. We recently elected a new chapter president, and our last meeting was the best attended of the entire year. We are looking forward to a very active Spring Term, hosting a screening of “Can We Take a Joke” and strengthening our relationship with the University of Oregon chapter.
