In February, we told you that Representative Ron Blum (R-IA) has introduced one of our agenda items, the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2016 (FRA – HR 4476). It requires Congress to balance the budget or take a pay cut!
Now we’re pleased to announce that FRA already has a co-sponsor — Representative Ron DeSantis from Florida!
You can take action to reinforce good behavior and provide an incentive for other representatives to join.

I’m supporting a great new bill in Congress, the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA – HR 4476). It was developed by Downsize DC and Representative Ron Blum of Iowa. Under FRA, Congress would suffer a pay cut for every year it runs a deficit. The bill already has two sponsors, but more are needed.
