Dramatic underwater footage in Hawaii captures divers rescuing a bottlenose dolphin caught up in fishing line. Full Story: Divers off the coast of Hawaii rescued a bottlenose dolphin who seemed to be asking for their help. The dolphin swam into the lighted areas and scuba diving instructors noticed that a fishing line was restricting the dolphin's movement. The encounter was caught on video on January 11 when instructor Keller Laros spent close to 8 minutes next to the mammal. The video shows the dolphin swimming up to the divers and pushing into Laros—the instructor interpreted this as a call for help. The dolphin allowed Laros to work on him, cutting the fishing line and attempting to free a hook lodged in its pectoral fin. After the fishing line was removed, the dolphin went up to get air and then came back to Laros, who tried unsuccessfully to remove the hook. After several minutes the dolphin swam away.
