Hundreds of thousands remain without electricity as Queensland continues to fight flooding Full Story: At least 200000 homes are without power as flood waters continue to inundate parts of Queensland. Three flood related deaths have been reported so far. While rescue operations continue, authorities are urging residents to move to higher ground. The severe weather conditions in the region have caused torrential rain, tornados and flooding. Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
