Strong and shallow earthquake with recorded magnitude of 6.1 (CENC) struck China – Myanmar border region on May 30, 2014 at 01:20 UTC. Chinese CENC is reporting shallow depth of 12 km. The earthquake struck at 09:20 local time in a region prone to earthquakes.EMSC is reporting M5.9 earthquake at depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), USGS said M5.8 at the same depth. By 09:00 UTC today CENC reported 14 aftershocks.
