We now live in an age when the truth is offensive. From Donald Trump talking about the US-Mexico illegal immigrant problem to Chrissie Hynde warning women not to dress too provocatively and get blasted drunk in public in order to avoid possible sexual attacks, whenever the truth is told people get offended. We are a society of crybabies now.
The truth hurts, sometimes a lot. People who have been sheltered most of their lives can’t handle hearing about their downfalls. And we all have them. After all, we are only human beings. Anti-social media and the lack of our ability to communicate with one another verbally also have a lot to do with our veering off of the path of truth.
Many women, for instance, aren’t raised to believe in themselves for their abilities. It’s about the way they look. When a woman comes along who gets more attention than others because of the way she looks, they react in a negative way.
Men need to feel like tough guys in order to have confidence. This breeds violence and a lack of communication. Not to mention wars, when tough guy politicians need to fill their pockets and show the world who is boss.
