Thousands Of US Troops Arrive Near Syrian Shore On USS Eisenhower

The USS Eisenhower, an American aircraft carrier that holds eight fighter bomber squadrons and 8,000 men, arrived at the Syrian coast yesterday in the midst of a heavy storm, indicating US preparation for a potential ground intervention.
While the Obama administration has not announced any sort of American-led military intervention in the war-torn country, the US is now ready to launch such action “within days” if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad decides to use chemical weapons against the opposition, the Times reports.
Some have suggested that the Assad regime may use chemical weapons against the opposition fighters in the coming days or weeks.
The arrival of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, one of the 11 US Navy aircraft carriers that has the capacity to hold thousands of men, is now stationed at the coast of Syria, DEBKAfile reports. The aircraft carrier joined the USS Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, which holds about 2,500 Marines.
“We have (US) special operations forces at the right posture, they don’t have to be sent,” an unnamed US official told The Australian, which suggested that US military troops are already near Syria and ready to intervene in the conflict, if necessary.
If the US decides to intervene militarily in Syria, it now has at its disposal 10,000 fighting men, 17 warships, 70 fighter-bombers, 10 destroyers and frigates and a guided military cruises. Some of the vessels are also equipped with Aegis missile interceptors to shoot down any missiles Syria might have at hand, according to DEBKAfile.
Add this to this story and you have yourself a hot fire. This could touch off World War 3. World Wars start this way. Alliances have formed, economies are crashing and pawns are dropping, this could be it. ~Ophelia

This has all the makings for a false flag event. Do not forget that this carrier is due for de-commissioning, and it would be cheaper for the govt to blow it up as a false flag event, as has been noted by others than to de-commission it, thus paving the way for further totally illegal “INVASION” of a country for its military positioning. This reeks black flag event.

Here in New Zealand we had a cargo ship that was due to be decommissioned run up on a reef just off shore. Hmmmm?

The enterprise was decommisioned, the Ike is midway thru it’s duty cycle, while a flase flag is a possiblility, It is one of our “newer” carriers, being built around the 80′sthe stennis is our Newest, with the Gerald R Ford currently being built as a new class. the Iwo is also a newer ship, Less than 20 years old, I sailed on the original, the lead ship of the LPH class.
On another note, with NATO loading up the Turkey side of the border, and Israel on alert with their recent callup of 30,000 tropps, I can see ASSad doing something stupid, all on his own…
Inkling – my thought EXACTLY. The latte one has this diabolical plan to destroy the USS Eisenhower together with 8000 souls thereon. He has just painted a target on that ship so that it can be destroyed by the muslim brotherhood. Worse than the twin towers. He is hand in glove with the terrorists. It is my opinion there is a ruse to present “our enemy” as credible. Therefore permitting “us” to bomb them from the stone age all the way back to the dark ages.

As Assad is the C in C in Syria, he has the authority to launch his Russian-supplied Sunburn missiles at the US imperialists should they be so foolhardy as to attempt to invade his country. Can anyone explain to me what the US is doing here? What part of US national security is at stake here? No matter how many fancy aeroplanes the US has in the area, they are all totally vulnerable if the carriers go down. This missile is Mach 2.2 and comes in at 20′ asl. If the Israelis think they can help out, these same missiles have also been supplied to his country with N-tips. So if anyone is going back to the stone age, it will not only be Syria. This is very high-stakes poker. Behind Assad is Putin. He knows what is at stake here, and he is not about to back down.
