Technical note on Bezalel poster story – was revised by 2nd student
Dr. Aaron Lerner 14 December 2016
“Adi Stern, the president of Bezalel, told Army Radio that the poster had
been taken out of context. He said it appeared with a poster of former Prime
Minister Yitzhak Rabin with the word “traitor” printed underneath. Such
posters were common ahead of Rabin’s 1995 assassination, part of a climate
of incitement that many say inspired the killing. Another sign on display at
the academy read: “It’s called incitement.”

Convenient narrative.
Not true.
The Student Who Discovered The Incitement “It reminded Me Of The Rabin
Murder”
When a second year student at Bezalel reached class he was shocked. On the
wall were posters with pictures of Netanyahu and a noose. “I took one of
the posters, turned it over and wrote with a black marker ‘It’s called
incitement’, he said. It’s not typical of Bezalel
Shirit Avitan Cohen – NRG – 12 December 2016
…During the break at one in the afternoon, I took one of the posters and
turned it over and wrote with a black marker ‘It’s called incitement’ and my
friend put a photo from before the Rabin murder in the middle.”…
